Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission is holding an informational meeting about a new rehabilitation proposal for the Saint Edward Seminary.
“Daniels Real Estate seeks to acquire the building complex, including the seminary, pool, gymnasium, and associated open space from the Commission” and then “rehabilitate the seminary building for a new use”. Further information can be found on the State Parks Website, but many important details are missing, including what Daniels Real Estate plans to use the building for after rehabilitation.

According the Public Meeting Notice, the workshop will include three components:
- Representatives from Daniels Real Estate, a local development firm, will describe their proposal.
- State Parks staff will summarize a process that could make rehabilitation possible.
- Time for public comment and questions.
Your questions and comments will be brought to the State Parks Commission as they consider a one-year extension on a rehabilitation plan for the building at their next regular meeting in September.
Every public comment, whether at the public meeting or in writing to the Commission, is very important. If you can not attend, please submit your comments to the Commission here.
